Motor-related assemblies often depend on aligned mounting patterns, shaft or coupling clearance, ventilation and service access. These relationships are reviewed before fabrication.
Typical Components
Motor mounting plates and brackets
Protective guards and ventilation covers
Fabricated bases and support frames
Terminal and control enclosures
OEM hardware and subassemblies
Interface Review
Identify mounting datums and critical patterns.
Review stiffness and forming direction.
Plan weld sequence around alignment requirements.
Check coating allowances at mating surfaces.
Inspect interfaces against approved drawings.
Project-Specific Inspection
Dimensional and functional checks are defined by the drawing. Electrical performance or motor certification remains outside the fabricated-metal scope unless separately specified.
